About
the Institute of Health Sciences
Established in winter of 2006, the Institute of Health Sciences (IHS Online) is
a nation-wide initiative providing online education for the
individual interested in the allied health field as a profession. Its primary
goal is to increase the number of high-quality online medical education programs
available to place-bound and time-restricted prospective students in the U.S.
and internationally. |
|
|
|
During its brief history, IHS has supported the development of four new online
programs (including professional degrees, master's degrees, and several
baccalaureate completion programs). Our faculty has supported and developed,
over the years, various programs in respiratory therapy, pulmonary
medicine, electroneurodiagnostic and critical care medicine. |

|
|
The Institute
was developed with the concept of not only helping individual students but to
customize individual solutions for the health care employer. Built on the
concept of "Just in Time" – the Institute works with the employer to not only
solve today's professional shortages but to forge an alliance to look to the
future needs of the organization for licensed personnel.
Many of our faculty are nationally renowned physicians and technologists from
major medical centers throughout the US and Canada. Combine web-based distance
education, with a faculty that has over 200 combined years of hands-on practical
experience and you will receive world class medical certification. |
