The school is a non-residential college. All students are taught online, with nationally known faculty, through interactive web study and videoconferencing. In addition to didactic lectures, students have clinical experience at academic medical centers and teaching hospitals throughout Baltimore, Washington, DC. and beyond.
Our founder Richard L. Trader, RRT PA-C FCCM developed the first college based curriculum in Respiratory Therapy at the Community College of Baltimore, and the first Physician Assistant program for Critical Care Medicine at Sinai / John Hopkins University in 1980. The school faculty has a history of development of unique educational opportunities for students, dating back to the 1970s, at Sinai Hospital School for Respiratory Care in Baltimore and development of the first online Electoneurodiagnostics program at Crozer-Chester Medical Center.
Adults and traditional-aged students will find the flexible online scheduling, small classes, and personal attention an ideal learning environment. Our web portal includes a learning resources center, student bog, meeting spaces, as well as shared facilities with the individual hospital and clinical sites. Our faculty and alumni can be found in a wide variety of health care settings, including Baltimore's finest academic medical centers, teaching hospitals, and numerous health care facilities throughout Maryland, the nation, and the world.
