Chief Executive Officer
Richard L. Trader Sr. RRT RPA-C FCCM
founded The Institute of Health Sciences in 2006. He began his career in medicine as a combat medic in the US Army, and served on the Presidential Health Team at Walter Reed Army Medical Center during the 1960s. He brings over 30 years of clinical experience, administration and medical education experience to allied health education. He is the developer of the Cardiophonics digital monitoring systems and holds various patents on technology within cardiac and pulmonary medicine. His original research programs centered on the design of mass spectrometry monitoring for the Intensive Care Unit, conducted at Brown University during the late 1970s.
Richard developed the first two-year Community College program for Respiratory Therapy in the State of Maryland, which now has over 6000 graduates working throughout the US. In 1975, he developed the first two-year post-graduate course for Physician Extenders at John Hopkins and Sinai Hospital in Critical Care Medicine. Recognize as a technical expert in critical care medicine, he has lectured extensively at numerous medical meetings on physiology and mechanical ventilation throughout the years, and serves as a technical consultant to various medical device corporations. In 2003, he was elected by the Society of Critical Care Medicine as a Fellow of the College of Critical Care Medicine, which recognized his role as a pioneer in allied health education and critical care medicine in the US, at their international conference in 2004.
The former Director of Allied Health Education at the Community College of Baltimore and the administrative director and clinical director of emergency medicine, intensive Care and anesthesia at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore, he is a Registered Respiratory Therapist, Pulmonary Technologist, and Physician Associate with Board Certification in Primary care and Surgery. He holds a BS and a Masters (MMsc) in Medical Sciences from Central Connecticut University and the International University of Medical School and Sciences in Canada.

Technology joins the Institute of Health
Sciences as a recognized leader in Electroneurodiagnostic education with 25
years experience as an Electroneurodiagnostic technologist and educator. Her
qualifications include:

director of a CAAHEP accredited END program. In her role as director she was
responsible for all aspects of program development and instruction including
the development of and successful implementation of an online program in
Electroneurodiagnostics.

in several Electroneurdiagnostic technology organizations in capacities from
guest lecturer to elected board positions.( Past President of Eastern
Society of Electroneurodiagnostic Technologist , Secretary of the
Philadelphia Society of EEG Technologist, and ASET Board Member) Currently
Trice is serving on the American Board of Registration of
Electroencephalographic & Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET) and as
Chair of the American Society of Electroneurodiagnostic Technology (ASET)
Directors Council.

Richard L. Taylor, M.D., F.A.A.N., Medical Director of
the END program attended the Johns Hopkins University and the
University of Maryland School of Medicine, graduating both with honors. He then
interned at Mercy Hospital in Baltimore and went on to complete a neurology
residency at the University of Maryland Hospital, where he attained the
recognition of Chief Resident in neurology. Elected a Fellow in the American
Academy of Neurology, Dr. Taylor remains on the active teaching faculty of the
University of Maryland Medical School, where he holds the academic rank of
Clinical Professor of Neurology. Dr. Taylor has earned multiple board
certifications in neurology, EEG, and clinical neurophysiology and was a
founding member of Taylor Medical Group. Currently, he serves as Chief of the
Division of Neurology at Good Samaritan Hospital, as well as Chief of Clinical
Neurophysiology at both Greater Baltimore Medical Center and Sheppard Pratt
Hospital.

A hallmark of higher education excellence is the breadth and depth of
information and experience provided students by the faculty and visiting
