Lifelong Learning Credit Portfolio
Adults learn
constantly -- on the job, in relationships, through reading, travel, hobbies,
and life events. As an adult student, you probably have acquired college-level
knowledge outside the classroom in several areas. You can claim college credit
for this prior learning by enrolling in a 3-credit course, IDS102 , and
constructing a document called a portfolio that presents the evidence necessary
for your learning to be evaluated. All portfolios share three common elements:
-
A college
course description that serves as the standard against which students'
knowledge is measured;
-
A personal
narrative in which students describe what they did, what they learned, and
how they applied their knowledge; and
-
Evidence
from a variety of sources that supports students' claims to knowledge.
